GENIUS-LEVEL THINKING AT ABADY REVEALS THE THREE MAIN CAUSES
OF THE PANDEMIC OF BREAKDOWNS AFFECTING DOGS TODAY AND HOW ABADY FOODS’ QUALITY
AND CONSTRUCTION HELPS PREVENT THEM.
Did you know that
hundreds of thousands of dogs (and cats) each year suffer a variety of
identical breakdown conditions that cross breed lines and are repeated all over
the country? The Abady Company has
concluded that virtually every breakdown condition that has reached pandemic
levels, that crosses breed lines and that is seen all over the country is food-caused. There
is no other valid explanation for this phenomenon. Below is a list of some of the conditions
that belong in this category. All skin
and coat problems including excessive hair loss, hot spots, oily smelly coats,
most allergies, auto-immune problems, most gastro-intestinal disorders
(including “sensitive” stomach, finicky eaters, irritable bowel syndrome,
colitis, bloat, torsion). Thyroid, kidney and heart problems, diabetes,
breakdowns during growth – including
some epileptic fits, OCD, PANO and hip
dysplasia, most reproductive disorders (including small and shrinking
litter sizes, reabsorptions, abortions and even cannibalistic mothers that kill
and eat their own puppies), restless mothers – leading to crushed puppies, lack
of milk, chronic uterine infections, failure to conceive, uterine inertia, many
birth defects ( including cleft palates, umbilical hernias, open brains and
chest cavities), fading puppies. In males – lack of eagerness to breed, low
sperm counts, rising and descending testicles, missing testicles, anal sack
problems and cysts between the toes to name a few.
Given the scope
and profundity of the pandemic of breakdowns, one has to wonder why it has not
drawn more attention. Here is how this
has come about. History tells us that
dogs (and cats) have come to us over millions of years without the need for
veterinary intervention because they were self-sufficient (this is not to imply
that veterinary care is not very valuable).
Since science, physiology, the dictionary, as well as common sense tell
us that dogs are carnivores (meat eaters); why does industry advance the absurd
notion that dogs are omnivores? Because
by falsifying the dog’s true nature industry can justify the production of foods
of a lower order and make incalculably higher profits. This writer recalls a conversation with a
friend who was attending Harvard at which time one of his professors explained
how the continual repetition of a falsehood could eventually become accepted as
fact. He cited the example of industry
convincing the public that the dog is an omnivore when in reality it is a
carnivore. Carnivores require diets at
the highest nutritional level, omnivores don’t.
When diets are not at the level required to support carnivores, these
animals will break down in as many ways as there are cells in the body.
THE MAIN CAUSE OF
THIS PANDEMIC ARE SHORTAGES OF QUALITY ANIMAL PROTEIN
AND POISONING
Protein is the single
most important nutritional substance in the dog diet. The word protein, in fact was coined from a
Greek word meaning “of the first importance”.
Innumerable studies have amply confirmed its necessity and predominance
for life itself. Protein is a primary
constituent of almost every biological process.
Primarily dependant on protein are the formation of structural tissues,
hormones, enzymes, body secretions and all the basic chemical reactions of the
body; e.g. the acid/base balance, the regulation of fluid balance, antibody
formation and resistance to disease and parasites. It becomes readily understandable –in view of
its extraordinary importance-that if there were to be any inadequacies in a
ration, the very last place one would wish to see them would be in the area
that involves protein.
Deficiencies of
animal protein come about through a number of circumstances. For the most part, commercial diets do not include sufficient quantities of
animal protein regardless of their position on label or the number of the
meat-based ingredients that they do include.
In addition, all commercial diets are very high in fibrous material, which artificially boosts the amount
of protein listed in the Guaranteed Analysis without defining its quality. While the percentage of fiber in most dry
rations appear to be innocent enough, being in the 3 to 5 percent range when analyzed correctly is actually monstrous. The materials from which fiber is derived
like beet pulp, tomato pomace or cellulose flour are light and occupy a large
volume, somewhat like comparing the volume occupied by a quantity of lead to an
identical amount of feathers. While the
5% fiber content, for instance, represents 22.7 grams by weight out
of a possible 454 grams or 1 lb. of food,
the amount of beet pulp that
is required in order to deliver the 22.7 grams of fiber is 141.87 grams (by
weight) or more than one third of
the ration. The volume occupied can be
greater than the volume occupied by all the ingredients in the ration combined. This
enormous volume of indigestible cellulose has a devastating effect on the nutrition in the ration. To make matters
even worse the enormous volume of beet pulp or cellulose flower can expand by
as much as 250% once it is hydrated with digestive tract fluids. Fibrous material contained in all commercial
rations lowers protein values and pollutes the digestive tract. No matter what claims are made for a product,
no matter how impressive the advertising, the listing of large amounts of fiber;
(3% or more) when beet pulp, tomato pomace, cellulose flour or gluten are
included the product should be avoided.
Clearly, large
amounts of fibrous material contribute to every
breakdown condition by lowering the nutrition in the product, but one of
the most common conditions affecting millions of dogs, for which veterinary
medicine has no solutions are fiber-caused allergies. While most grains and gluten (excluding white
rice) – (which the Company uses in restricted amounts) can be the source of
allergies, it does appear however, that the larger percentage of all allergies are directly caused by the enormous volume of fibrous materials that is
included in all dry dog food (except
Abady, of course)! By expediting the
food through the gastric phase, the fibrous material introduces large molecules
of partially broken protein and other food substances into the small intestine
which can lead to serious complications.
Recent evidence has shown that it is possible for large substances to
cross through the intestinal lining and enter the bloodstream. The passage of incompletely digested protein
into the bloodstream can bring about immune reactions – which we call
allergies. The large molecules of
incompletely digested food materials may behave as allergens – producing
allergies. There are two routes that
have been verified as passageways for these molecules of food through the
intestinal linings into the bloodstream.
The first is through lymphatic tissues in the intestinal tract; the
second is called m-cell vesicle formation and involves the transport of large
substances directly into the bloodstream by a process of
microenvagination. This indicates that
maldigestion of dietary protein caused by excessive dietary fibrous material may
lead to widespread allergies or hypersensitivity particularly to protein foods.
It has also been
found that certain dietary protein molecules when incompletely digested may
cause a reduction in the capacity of the immune system to respond
appropriately, leading to long-term allergic reactions, thereby producing a
state of low zone tolerance resulting in skin problems and recurrent
infections. Abady foods’
carnivore-centered – low-fiber profile prevent these syndromes from taking
place.
We can go on and
on pinpointing the protein deficiencies that have led to common problems. For example, a deficiency of taurine (found
in red meat) can lead to skeletal damage, convulsions and cardiomyopathies. A deficiency of carnitine also found in red
meat and sheep muscle is the only shuttle involved in transporting fat into the mitochondria that provide energy to the heart, unlike other
muscles that use energy from protein and carbohydrates and fat, the heart
muscles use energy only from fat.
Deficiencies of carnitine can lead to hypothyroidism, heart disease and kidney disease, conditions that
are at epidemic levels today.
POISONING – THE RECENT MAJOR BREAKDOWN- CAUSING
ASPECT OF COMMERCIAL DIETS THAT CONTAIN SAPONINS AND PHASEOLINS; THEY ARE
POISONOUS AND CAN BE FATAL
All of Natures
creatures are equipped with offensive and defensive capabilities. Plants produce chemicals, phaseolins that prevent the protein in
the food from being utilized creating deficiencies of protein; they also
contain estrogenic substances that will interfere with the estrus cycle
rendering animals sterile. Some plants
cause heart attacks in animals or dissolve their red blood cells. The defense system of plants are potent, and
in many instances deadly (as deadly in fact as the deadliest venomous snake, but
they are infinitely more varied). Many
plants included in dog and cat foods contain a class of potent neurotoxins that have a wide ranging of metabolic
effects. They are called saponins.
They have caused bloat in every species of animal in which they have been
tested including dogs and cats. Saponins paralyze the digestive tract and
suppress the vomiting reflex. This
interference with the escape of gasses causing them to accumulate in the
digestive tract. While saponin molecules
are large and not readily absorbed from the intestinal tract, they can corrode
the intestinal mucus if consumed at sub-lethal levels over a prolonged period
of time. Saponins cause lesions and
hemorrhages in the intestines, brain, heart, stomach and uterus. They also cause colitis and torsion. They dissolve red blood cells. Saponins can interfere with conception
causing reabsorbtions and abortions. The
following ingredients contain saponins and phaseolins that will vary in their
destructive potential. Ingredients included that contain saponins
in dog and cat foods are beet pulp, sorghum, soybeans, alfalfa, tomato pomace,
peas, beans, oats, garlic, yucca and potatoes.
IN CONCLUSION
Abady foods have been
proven over thirty years to be safe and effective. They contain abundant amounts of the most
valuable amino acids derived from animal sources. They do not contain interference factors,
such as a large amount of fibrous material nor do they contain saponins or
phaseolins. As a result, Abady Foods may be the only foods in the marketplace that
are both safe and effective.
